I’m a WordPress developer and a classical collaborative pianist. I always swear that they go together and say that life is never, ever boring. I am the Director of User Interface Engineering at 10up, doing some really cool things with WordPress development of all kinds and especially in creating amazing content creation experiences for our various and varying clients. A large percentage of my time at 10up is given back to the WordPress open source project. I’m a Contributing Developer to WordPress core and am a guest committer for the 3.6 development cycle. I also perform as a classical collaborative pianist. This blog is where I write about things that I learn as I dive into the land of WordPress. You can also find me on Twitter.

I’m currently located in the NYC metro area (specifically Jersey City) with my super-cool Costa Rican clarinetist husband. Want to know more about me as a musician or listen to see if I’m the real deal? Check out http://helenyhou.com.
